This is not just a blog, but it’s a part of my life which
stays in my mind every single second. I heard lot many people say that “time
changes and with it people too”. But, to be honest, I always heard that line
from a person, who is at that time in a Sad mood, which always reflected back
that no one in this world wants that the people close to them should ever
change. It, kind of, gives you a feeling of betrayed or a mistake of judging
that person wrongly in past and those first few impressions of that person
being shattered. But the question which haunted me always was that “Do people
really change? Or It’s just the situations caused by drift in time which are
making them to act bit differently.”
Life has always been tricky to me when it comes to friendship.
I have been blessed by many friends, and some have been really close to my
heart and also played very crucial role in making me What I am today. So, in
this blog I want to mention one of the closest person who really had a big
impact on my life. I call her Hitler and she is lot more than a friend, but
time has really played a ball game with both of us, bringing us close and then
tearing apart. In this blog I am trying my best to give my feelings some words,
though I know it will be a difficult task, but I hope that this blog of mine
will prove to be reflection of my view of the roller coaster relation.
It all started with the social networking hazard Facebook. I
was all set to fly to UK for my MBA and was just a month away from the
departure and was looking to book my accommodations in there. All students were
trying to search the people who are going to the same university to make a
group which may help them to decide a good accommodation. In my search I met
this Mumbai girl on fb as friendship requests were exchanged. As the
conversations started through messages on FB, we kind of became friends and
this resulted in a formation of group combining the students from three big
cities of India. The friendship grew with some phone calls just before the
departure and finally the group managed to find an accommodation. It was the
starting of the fun ride as I felt that all people were quite chirpy and
friendly. Though all of them were good
and I gelled well with all in early days of my stay in UK, but I was really
getting attached to Girl from Mumbai. She was different from others. She had a
spark of enthusiasm mixed with beautiful looks and sweet voice. She seemed to
be brought up like a princess and wanted to rule the world. Slowly but surely
she became the heart of the group. Though this heart was an independent thinker
and she never tried to drive the group or impose her decisions to anyone else
but still I gave her the name HITLER. Though I didn’t call’d her by that name,
but surely her phone number was saved by that in contacts. I kept this name
because whenever she used to get angry she just behaved like the German
Dictator but inside my heart I knew she just wanted to enjoy her time while
studying and keep everyone around happy. At that time it looked like the
journey of this English Island will be like a fairly tail.
Though, the friendship with her was soon turned into a
lifelong bond of relation. As with time the feeling of protecting her and
caring for her became so strong in me that I just became a big brother to her.
Though the sister with a hitler profile is difficult to manage but I loved her
so much that everything she used to say was like an order to me. Though, it’s a
bitter fact that the ratio of attachment was not the same. But I was happy with
it. In the whole group, I was more inclined to her, but she managed to keep our
brother-sister relation in a low profile always. Though, the group with time got some
fragmentation as everyone had a different person close to them. Surely for me
the closest was her, but it was not the same from her side. In the start I
never complained about it but then I always tried to make sure that she knows
this fact and was hopeful that she will acknowledge that with time. From the
start, she was really supportive of me and really cared about my feelings, my
life, my family, my studies and specially my diet. She woke up early morning
plenty of times to make me a toast and tea before I leave for my lectures. Like a real sister she always tried to guide
me in the right direction and always warned me that My too damn emotional
nature is not good for my life in a long run. She sometimes really showed a
matured head and helped everyone in big or small problems.
Hitler was the one person I always wanted to be with every
time. I loved sharing my life with her and also my views about everyone. She
was really a gem of a person when it comes to the nature. Her caring and
helping nature won everybody’s heart. She had awesome sense of humour and her
rocking style of enjoying was a treat to watch. Her favourite time pass was
shopping and sleeping. She slept at unusual hours which really irritated me
sometimes and I didn’t got time to spend some time with her when I felt alone
and sad. She being a good sister though sometime gave me extra time by calling
me in her room and share things but in back made me work like a labour to
complete her assignments(jokingly).
But then being stupid I made some mistakes. I didn’t even
get to know, and my caring and loving nature as a brother soon made me so
possessive about her that the ride of a smooth journey started facing the
hiccups. Though my intentions were never to hurt her or stop her from living
that free bird style life but the situations appeared such that I entered the
bad books of her. And unaware of that fact I kept on making my stupid mistakes.
Though I still feel that it was piece of misunderstanding which just kept
growing out of proportions but then it was also because of efforts of some
people who wanted us apart. She just kept going away from me and I felt
helpless.
But as it’s a saying that “All’s well which End’s well”.
After a year of being away from me, she is back now. Yesh!!!!! The Hitler has
returned. Though it took a lot of effort to convince her that what happened was
just a bad situation and I never changed for her. She is still the same bubbly
girl who is honest, loving, caring and dependable. She made me so much stronger
that I understand the power of being positive now. I know, even, while being
away and angry with me, she must have prayed for my health and career. She is
the one person whom I cherish the most in my life and every second pray to god
that I never ever lose her again. For me she has always been the best and the
way she loves her family and friends, she always deserves the best. I really
apologize from the bottom of my heart to her for all the mistakes I did but I
always aimed to make her happy honestly.
As very soon she is going to start a new and crucial chapter
of her life, I wish my dearest sister with all the good wishes and want to make
her a promise that “I will always be there for her and my feelings will never
change for her.”
